Portfolio > 1937

Open access to histories of political atrocities does not always exist. Access is often fleeting - available for a moment then hidden again. After my studio fire destroyed everything, I collected the shards of the broken porcelain plates from "The Tzetzegov Erasures" and built the series "1937". Here the text is fragmented and only partially accessible. Vintage convex glass frames available in the 1930's hold the shards and become a sort of portrait of one person's experience.
