Straw Bale House
The south facing wall of the house is a window wall. Next to the forest, in the summer when the leaves are on the trees the house is in shade which aids in passive cooling of the home. In the winter when the leaves are down and the sun is low, sunlight floods the home, warms the concrete floors and we gain 5-10 degrees of passive heat.
